When: Pliocene (5.3 - 2.6 Ma)

• In the Brasov Depression, 'Early Villafranchian fauna showing many similarities to Triversa FU'. In normally magnetised deposits. Upper Pliocene, MN16b. Fossils found in the middle-upper level, white sands (layer 6).

Environment/lithology:

• Littoral facies. Frost formations are noted beneath the fossiliferous layer.
• White sands.

• Dicerorhinus cf. jeanvireti and Dicerorhinus cf. etruscus listed in 1983, but not in any subsequent lists. Again D. etruscus is a later species than is meant to be found at this site (cf. Covrigi).
