Environment/lithology: marginal marine; burrowed, phosphatic, cherty/siliceous mixed carbonate-siliciclastic sediments and pebbly sandstone

• "The phosphate deposits are of Cretaceous and Tertiary age and the succession includes indurated calc-phosphates, cross-stratified coarse sands, pebble bands and widespread burrowed horizons, chert bands, nodules and siliceous concretions abound and can be used as marker horizons over a limited area. Red and green shale bands occur locally. (pg. 53)"
