Where: Malpica, Spain (39.0° N, 4.0° W: paleocoordinates 15.9° S, 6.1° E)

• Top part of the Esperanza Formation

Environment/lithology: coal

• Sandstones, lutites, a few quartzite conglomerate bands and occasional coals, one marine horizon has been recorded. Maximum thickness approximately 300 meters.

Preservation: mold/impression

Collection methods: Floral remains discussed in this paper were collected in 1964 by J. Pello in the course of mapping. Collection is in the Department of Geology at the University of Shetfield.
