Where: Tataouine, Tunisia (32.9° N, 10.2° E: paleocoordinates 16.2° N, 10.9° E)

When: Continental Intercalaire Formation, Barremian to Barremian (129.4 - 100.5 Ma)

• Beds are not easily dated but studies in the last few years agree that beds exposed in Tunisia are likely Barremian–Albian. See Fanti et al. 2012; Hamed et al. 2014; Fanti et al. 2016; Holwerda 2020

• formation-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: deltaic; sandstone and claystone

• described as a "torrential delta in the clays"
• bonebed in the clays within the sandstone formation
