• corresponding to the basal part of El Viejo Formation

Environment/lithology: rudstone

• interpreted as mass flow deposits, and followed up-section by calcareous and volcanoclastic turbidites (Jaccard et al. 2001)
• 3m of rudist rudstone limestone above the basaltic basement

Size class: macrofossils

• rudists appear disarticulate, biocorroded, filled with macroforaminifera; coral fragments, nereneid gastropods
