• The specimen of P. platyrhinum was found in the Upper Siwaliks at the base of the Pinjor Stage. The Pinjor Formation ranges in age from 2.58 Ma to 0.6 Ma. Since the specimen was found near the base, it is likely Early Pleistocene in age.
