• coordinate based on political unit

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Panaca Formation, Blancan (4.9 - 1.8 Ma)

• said to be Blancan I and between 4.95 and 4.50 based on biochronology (lower bound) and paleomag (upper bound) by Mead and Taylor 2005

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: fluvial-lacustrine; siltstone and sandstone

• formation is "approximately 427 m... horizontally stratified siltstones, sandstones, and mudstones, with occasional small artesian spring-formed lacustrine deposits" (Mead and Taylor 2005)

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils

Reposited in the AMNH

Taxonomic list

• see Golgotha Watermill Pothole Quarry (Hemphillian)

•UALP 8197 is only 10 m NE of Limestone Corner and 1 m higher stratigraphically; both are 1.6 km NE of Panaca

•? Teleoceras sp. of Stock 1921 from LACM 3546 is implied to be from low in the section, but this appears to be based on a priori biochronological considerations
