• Originally labelled under bed 16, Calvert Beach Member of Choptank Formation with Langhian age. However, Calvert Beach Member is part of the underlying Calvert Formation, not the Choptank Formation. Bed 16 is split into two, Bed 16A is part of the uppermost Calvert Formation and bed 16B is part of the lowermost Choptank Formation, in any case, both of these beds are Serravallian age.
