• bones were found in a hard pan about 3.5 m below the modern floodplain and 4.5 m below sea level; Radiocarbon dates of two charcoal specimens from 65 cm below the hardpan were dated at 12,290 and 12,730 radiocarbon years (14,400 and 14,900 ybp) (Andersen et al. 2008).

• silty sand, mottled yellowish gray and reddish brown with clay-lined cracks
