When: La Vida Member (Puente Formation), Serravallian to Serravallian (13.8 - 7.2 Ma)

• lower Mohnian Californian stage, suggesting that the site is middle Miocene in age

•Based on the correlated timescale of Blake (1991), the La Vida member and OCPC 22650 are approximately 8.75 to 13.7 Ma in age. Specimen OCPC 22650 represents the first fossil specimen described from the La Vida member and the first mam- mal specimen described from the Puente Formation.
