• Skyline Channels are "along the northern margin of the Devil's Graveyard," which based on Stevens et al. 1984 is just east of the county line
overlies Middle Mbr. and underlies Dogie Creek; at same level as Cotter Channels
ash immediately beneath Skyline Channels dated at 42.7 +/- 1.6 Ma (KA): Stevens et al. 1984; this date is questioned by Prothero 1996b on paleomagnetic and general biochronologic grounds, and although he points out that the dated biotite flakes were very small his reasoning seems to depend on accepting the very questionable 41.2 Ma date for the Gill Breccia
