Kulinda (Jurassic to of Russian Federation)

Where: Zabaykal'ye, Russian Federation (52.5° N, 116.7° E: paleocoordinates 58.0° N, 117.2° E)

• coordinate estimated from map

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Ukureyskaya Formation, Late/Upper Bathonian to Late/Upper Bathonian (167.7 - 145.0 Ma)

• Two distinct bonebeds at base of formation. Bonebed 4 is older than Bonebed 3. Both from lower part of formation.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lacustrine - large; tuffaceous, gray siltstone and lithified claystone

• The dinosaur bones are associated with abundant, well-preserved fossils of plants, insect larvae, and freshwater crustaceans that suggest deposition in a low-energy, probably lacustrine, freshwater environment. The sequence includes tuff deposits and ignimbrites that indicate local volcanic activity
• "Bonebed 3…a gray, silty matrix. [Bonebed 4] comprises a finely laminated, organic-rich claystone and is completely devoid of interspersed quartz grains."

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils

Preservation: adpression, soft parts, replaced with hematite
