• This community is BA 3. The underlying community is unknown. The overlying (or coeval) community is coralline, mainly tabulate.

Environment/lithology: coastal; lithified, sandy limestone and lithified, gray sandstone

• In the Mandal-Obo and gobi Tian Shan regions this ocmmunity occurs in gray, coralline, sandy limestones as dense accumulations of disarticulated valves.

•In the Uldzeitu region this community occurs in gray, quartzose, coarse and medium grained sandstones as abundant coquinas of well-preserved, articulated shells.
