Where: Arizona (35.1° N, 111.7° W: paleocoordinates 9.6° N, 36.2° W)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Fossil Mountain Member (Kaibab Formation), Kungurian (279.3 - 272.3 Ma)
• Lower Fossil Mountain Member
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: open shallow subtidal; lithified limestone
Size class: microfossils
Collection methods: chemical, mechanical, sieve
• The materials for this study were mostly collected from the loosely consolidated sandy limestones, processed in a weak acetic acid solution and screen-washed through graded screens. Sediment residues were then picked under a binocular microscope. Larger specimens from large limestone blocks were prepared mechanically. Repository: Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA).
