When: Gray Mesa Formation, Kasimovian (307.0 - 303.7 Ma)

• The contact of the Gray Mesa and Atrasado formations is close to the Demoinseian-Missourian boundary. This suggests that NMMNH locality 3389, near the top of the Gray Mesa Formation, is of Desmoinesian age.

Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified limestone

• Shallow, nearshore, marine environment.
