Where: Monmouth County, New Jersey (40.0° N, 74.0° W: paleocoordinates 39.9° N, 57.8° W)

When: Manasquan Formation, Ypresian (56.0 - 47.8 Ma)

• Holotype of Eosuchus minor of uncertain derivation; as catalogued, it is from the Manasquan Formation, New Jersey (Early Eocene/ Ypresian); but it may actually derive from the Vincentown Formation, New Jersey (Late Paleocene/Thanetian) (Brochu 2006). Orig. described as "Eocene greensand."
