• "Pocock (1908) notes that these pits expose the contact between the Kimmeridge Clay Formation and the underlying Corallian beds, suggesting the pliosaurid material was found in the lower part of the Kimmeridge Clay Formation" (Knutsen 2012, p. 267) [i.e. Early Kimmeridgian]
