• Uncertain provenance and could have come from the widespread Northland Allochthon

•(Early Cretaceous–Oligocene) or the allochthonous Houhora Complex (late Early Cretaceous) or Whatuwhiwhi Formation (latest Early to Late Cretaceous), perhaps by way of initial derivation from the Early Miocene Omapere Conglomerate
