Back Rio Grande (locality 3) (Cretaceous of Jamaica)

When: Upper limestone Member (Back Rio Grande Formation), Campanian (83.6 - 72.1 Ma)

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; lithified limestone and lithified volcaniclastic

• This member comprises at least 9 m of cemented limestones

•with common stylolites, and is exposed on the banks and within

•the river at localities 3 and 4 (Fig. 1). Rudists are common in some

•beds and include C. cubensis and D. krijneni sp. nov. (Fig. 6). At

•locality 4 (Fig. 1), the stylolite-bearing limestones contain Barrettia

•sp. A and Titanosarcolites sp. A in the same bed (Fig. 6).
