Rothianiscus robusta
Taxonomy
Rothia robusta was named by Olson (1965). Its type specimen is FMNH (CNHM) UR 966, a mandible (posterior left lower jaw), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is BC-7 (Chickasha Formation), which is in a Roadian/Wordian deltaic sandstone/shale in the Chickasha Formation of Oklahoma.
It was recombined as Rothianiscus robusta by de Ricqlès and Taquet (1982) and Dodick and Modesto (1995).
