Emydops haughtoni
Taxonomy
Storthyggognathus haughtoni was named by Janensch (1952). Its type specimen is BMNK and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Biesjiespoort, Victoria West, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa. It is the type species of Storthyggognathus.
It was recombined as Emydops haughtoni by King and Rubidge (1993).
