Daninia spinosa
Taxonomy
Daninia spinosa was named by Lombardo (2001). Its type specimen is MCSNIO P668, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cà del Frate, Viggiù, Monte San Giorgio, which is in a Longobardian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Meride Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Daninia.
