Taxonomy
Orodus corrugatus was named by Newberry and Worthen (1870). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rattlesnake Canyon, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Admiral Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Campodus corrugatus by Hay (1902) and Branson (1916).
