Microcarrizo paradoxicum
Taxonomy
Microcarrizo paradoxicum was named by Rasnitsyn (2004). Its type specimen is NMMNH P-37011, an exoskeleton (semi-well preserved insect missing head), and it is an impression. Its type locality is NMMNH L-3437; Carrizo Arroyo, which is in an Asselian pond mudstone in the Bursum Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Microcarrizo.
