Sister taxa: Stilpnotreta minuta, Stilpnotreta tecta
Type specimen: Its type locality is Bottom Rock, 600 meters ESE of Trilobite Rock, which is in a Boomerangian carbonate limestone in the Tasman Formation of New Zealand
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Cambrian of Australia (7 collections), Canada (4: Alberta), France (1), Kazakhstan (6), New Zealand (1)
Total: 19 collections each including a single occurrence
