Type specimen: LACMIP 12664. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1343, Simi Hills, which is in a Ypresian offshore sandstone in the Santa Susana Formation of California.

Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal photosymbiotic

Distribution: found only at CSUN Loc. 1343, Simi Hills
