Sister taxon: Emuarius guljaruba

Type specimen: SAMP26779, a set of limb elements (associated distal tibiotarsal fragment, proximal tarsometatarsus, and complete set of pedal phalanges). Its type locality is Leaf locality, Lake Ngapakaldi, which is in an Oligocene/Miocene fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Wipajiri Formation of Australia.
