Sister taxa: Cowiella granulata, Cowiella reticulata, Cowiella verrucata
Type specimen: UB 30, an other. Its type locality is Rushton, which is in an Atdabanian carbonate limestone in the Lower Comley Formation of the United Kingdom.
Ecology: facultatively mobile shallow infaunal carnivore
Distribution: found only at Rushton
