Where: Guangxi, China (22.8° N, 108.3° E: paleocoordinates 4.2° N, 126.5° E)

When: Eognathodus sulcatus conodont zone, Gaoling Member (Nakaolin Formation), Early/Lower Devonian (419.2 - 393.3 Ma)

Environment/lithology: marine; fine-grained sandstone and gray, green siltstone

• The Nakaolin Formation is dominated by fine sandstone, siltstone and mudstone, and the fish remains occur in the grayish-green quartziferous siltstones.
