Where: Bernalillo County, New Mexico (34.9° N, 106.3° W: paleocoordinates 0.4° S, 36.9° W)

When: Pine Shadow Member (Wild Cow Formation), Virgilian (303.7 - 298.9 Ma)

• dated as Virgilian by fusulinids, could also in part be late Missourian; fusulinids are said to occur in the quarry floor unit, however these are unstudied yet

Environment/lithology: marine; lithology not reported

• exposure of a Late Pennsylvanian paralic sequence of shales, claystones, and sandstones, with a micritic limestone at the base; 28 m thick

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils

• The Kinney Quarry fish beds (units 2-4 of Lucas & Huber 1991, also Kues & Lucas this volume) have produced a diverse ichthyofauna: chondrichthyans, Acanthodes sp. (common), actinopterygians (common), Proceratodus sp., coelacanth
