Environment/lithology: open shallow subtidal; lithified, burrowed, bioturbated, dolomitic, quartzose, gray sandstone and lithified conglomerate

• Sandstones deposited in "shallow, offshore marine environment such as a tidal or sub-tidal flat" (Greggs and Bond 1971, p. 1459)
• Bioturbated and homogenized sandstone (Greggs and Bond 1971). More extensively described in Bond and Greggs (1973, CJES 10:1140-1155): "Sandstone-dolomitic dark blue-gray ; fine- to very coarse-grained quartz sandstone, interbedded with fine coarse-grained quartz sand; irregular, undulating, thin beds, very thinly parted along argillaceous-ferrunginous laminae; highly bioturbated, vertical and horizontal burrows; grades laterally to extremely coarse granite, and metaquartzite- boulder conglomerate with granite 'wash' matrix. Coarser sandstone beds contain very coarse fraction of lithic fragments derived from marginal conglomerate; dark brown, pitted, weathering surface."
