• Older parts of this zone are represented by beds containing Wanneria (Palmer, 1964) in the Saline Valley Formation of the Inyo-White Mountain region, which together with still older Olenellus-bearing beds of the Harkless Formation are western time-equivalents of the Zabriskie Quartzite.
